This Christmas we are super thankful for the memories made together. Hawaii is a happy place for the Bowen family….
I was invited to go on a collaborative leadership retreat and we extended it to piggy back on a Family vacay.
But you know what? My first knee jerk reaction was, “no… we can’t afford it.”
Truthfully, that was my old scarcity mindset creeping in.
I grew up in a single parent home where financial struggle was always a conversation. So my knee jerk reaction to opportunity is usually “no”.
If I hadn’t finally come to acceptance that the reason why I work hard is to create memories like this, none of these photos would be on my camera roll. Thank God I finally said “yes.”
A wise friend told my boys this summer, “Never say you can’t afford something. If you want it, you can work hard for it.”
And he’s right. We’ve worked hard for the past 7 years to create a life of experiences together. That’s something I never had as a kid with my mom…
We wish you all the love, peace and prosperity this Christmas but most of all, we hope you will say YES more in 2022.
If we really believe in the indescribable gift Christmas represents, then i think we should live the abundant life He gave us.
